Relieve pain and tension with Osteopathic treatment
What is Osteopathy?
Taking an osteopathic approach to your treatments means evaluating your body as a whole. We look for patterns and restrictions to find the source of the problem. Rather than treating your symptoms alone, we take a global approach to health; looking at the entire body in its interconnected systems. We use gentle manipulations and mobilizations on the joints, fascia, viscera, and connective tissue to bring the body to a state where it can heal itself.
Osteopathic treatments can help with headaches and migraines, neck and back pain, sciatica, stress or anxiety relief, sports-related injuries, fatigue, fibromyalgia, tendonitis', TMJ (jaw) pain or clicking, recurring infections, digestive disorders or IBS, to regain mobility after an injury or surgery, and more.
What to expect at your appointment
You can expect a lot of questions to get a full picture of your health history, including past traumas, injuries, and lifestyle questions.
Next, a full body evaluation, regardless of your main complaint. For example, knee pain? Lets have a look at your pelvis, the movement of the hips, ankle and spine.
Finally, we will explain what we find and what we think would be the best treatment pathway. You will have an idea of what to expect next and any homework if needed to get you back on track.
Most people see a change in their symptoms in 3 to 5 sessions. Some see a significant change in 1 to 2 sessions only.
